As an active and passionate business owner, Jane is honoured to give back to her local community and the field of dietetics
Local
- Jane is an active member of the Business Education Partnership of Communitech Speakers Bureau. This give Jane the opportunity to speak to students at local schools about women in science, food, nutrition and being an entrepreneur
- Jane donates to numerous local events and charities including the Turkey Drive to provide local families with nutritious meals for their holiday celebrations
- Jane is a past member of the Grand River Rotary Club
Dietetics
Jane works with four University of Guelph Human Nutrition undergrad students (Marissa Bertens, Kristine Kopechanski, Katrina Markes and Emily Robins) to keep the content of her blog fresh, current and delicious.
- Jane volunteers for her Alumni, the University of Guelph including speaking events, plus interviews and mentoring for undergrad and graduate students
- Jane has been a member of the Scientific Grant Review Committee for Canadian Foundation for Dietetic Research
- For over 10 years, Jane has been a National spokesperson for Dietitians of Canada Nutrition Month campaign
